This is metaphorically like a movie praising Hitler for destroying Europe. |

Guys just chill out! This is just a movie which based on an actual events that took place almost 500 years ago! Why don’t you just watch it and have fun instead of bragging about never ending conflicts between Greece and Turkey. On the other hand did 1453 the conquest of Istanbul happen? Did Byzantines loose the war against Ottoman Turks? Yes!! So what is to brag about? |

Hi Haters……are you kidding me? Italy = Rome so think Gladiator and a thousand other films. Engage your brain before speaking. |

@sergio lol… actually we destroyed greece in the past.. read some history books. improve your knowledge on historia.. for 400 years greek culture was only an ethnical element just like turkish, arabic, slavonic and etc in ottoman empire.. Or in another saying greeks were a fish in a LAKE. So what im saying is “do not over-estimate yourselves that much.” Ottoman empire was a Turkish origined small state but became a multi-cultural empire in time.. |

There are not words to describe this film. Let just say it is bad acted, bad visual effects, an as a historical film lacks everything except the conviction of showing one side as the positive one in a completely manicheist perspective of reality. @psycho, the value of the greek culture do not lays in the glory that they had or the extension of their domains or the multiculturality of it. The value of greek culture lays in that it was fundamental in the creation of the renaissence, which was the origin of the kind of educated person, that leave the parent home later due to that education, that produced a radical change in the conception of marriage, and that finally was the indispensable base for the industrial revolution society. Read history books is good, understanding them is better. |

@ ignigena —————- but i want u to think what i said, in response to the sergio’s post. This is just a film. Maybe it’s bad acted or what ever u say.. But there’s nothing different in this film in comparison to history. Also this is not an anti-greek or anti-christ propaganda, these are true history. There are greek people in Turkiye also non greek but christian or jews too. Nothing is exaggerated. The grand cannon is true, the ships which are transported through the land are also through. One last thing.. This is not same or similar with praising hitler. What should be done is simple. Watching or not watching. If this film is watched, respect to the history and story. As we did while watching the film “Alexander the great”. Now, u can go & play medieval total war II to satisfy yourself, cuz u can change nothing exactly. cCc Istanbul since 1453 cCc |
